"Bringing communities together to support young refugees in Dundee"
The Together Project started in July 2018, funded by National Lottery Scotland Awards for All, and NHS Tayside-Community Innovation Fund.
The main aim of the project is to facilitate the integration and support the inclusion and wellbeing of young refugees (16-25 years old) in Dundee.
The Together Project has the following core aspects to its work:
- A range of social activities organised in a group setting to tackle social isolation amongst young refugees resettling in Dundee.
- The project works with young refugees of all faiths, genders and nationalities in the Dundee area and is driven by young refugees themselves, who decide what activities and events we do.
- The Project provide support by collaborating with local groups with recruitment, training and supporting volunteers to carry out various activities and events with young refugees.
